Melanie and I were very blessed when moving to the church at Tahunanui, to discover they had decided to build a new house for the minister. At the start of the build we went to look at the outline of the timber framing. As we thought about the placement of the rooms Melanie noticed the framing was too small to fit everything in. The builders then had to enlarge the foundation to support the planned size of the building. A sure foundation is very important for any building.
Anthony wanted to live a holy life focused on God, so he gave away his land, sold his possessions and retreated into the desert to get away from it all. Ironically, this led to him becoming famous, having a book written about him, becoming a tourist attraction visited by pilgrims and even receiving a letter from the emperor. Anthony died in 356AD. Christians throughout history have sought to live holy lives.
