Today, I am still continuing the walking with God series. In the second part of this series, we will explore the message of prayer. We know that the prayer is an essential part in our beliefs in God. Over the generations, prayers have affected our world, our society, and our lives.
There is a Korean proverb, “Woman is weak, but mother is strong.”
I will speak about a great woman from the bible called Hannah. Hannah promised God that if she was given a child, she would bring him up to be a godly man. She was known as a strong mother. From now on, we will learn three things from Hannah and what happened when she obeyed God. As a young man I enjoyed going with friends into the surf on Oreti Beach with a net to catch flounder. Sometimes we caught enough for a good feed, but always we would have to spend time afterwards cleaning seaweed from the nets. One day Jesus came upon a similar scene on the shores of Lake Galilee where Peter and Andrew were fishing. He called to them, "Come follow me and I will send you out to fish for people".
