Who goes to Greyfriars?

At Greyfriars Eden Epsom Church we are a Christian community of ordinary people who love God and who walk together - with God.

When you visit you will find people from all walks of life and many different ages and cultures uniting to worship God. A big part of our mission and identity is to be a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church.

We are one congregation meeting at two locations, Epsom and Mt Eden. Many of our people live locally and others come from all around Auckland to be a part of our church.

What happens at the Sunday service?

We believe that God is present as we gather for worship. We expect to hear God speaking to us as we read the bible and listen to preaching. We respond to God in prayer and song. Worshipping God is for the whole family and we include all ages in our church life. Our services include biblical preaching, music which lifts our praise to God, people from our congregation leading us in prayer and bible readings. Children attend the beginning of the service and then, following the Kidztalk, they go to Kidzone where they learn about the Christian faith using age-appropriate material. We also have a crèche available for pre-schoolers.

What happens through the week?

Church is more than just meeting once a week on Sundays. It's a place where faith can grow and be nurtured, where friendships are made and develop, where people can belong and contribute, where everyone is valued and valuable. We have various groups which meet throughout the week for friendship, fellowship, Bible study, service and outreach into the community.

At Greyfriars there is something good for you, your family and friends. It's the good news that Jesus loves you, has given his life so that you can be forgiven, and invites you to be part of his family for eternity.
