Matthew and Alison Raymond are working as missionaries in Zambia. They support eduation in poorer communites in Zambia through The Limapela Foundation, which they established in 2008. The Foundation is motivated by the Christian principle of care and compassion for the less fortunate. “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” (Matthew 25: 37-40 — NIV).
Matthew and Alison are responsible for directing Limapela's activities in Zambia. The vision
Schools Limapela Development Ltd is now responsible for two rural schools in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia — Limapela Cedric’s School, near Kitwe, and Luyando Community School, near Ndola. Seven hunder and fifty pupils are enrolled in these two schools and the company employs forty-six people. Self-sufficiency Self-sufficiency empowers local communities and gives them dignity. Agri-business projects, including chickens, bananas and vegetables, have been established under the ownership of Limapela Development Ltd. Profits are now contributing to educational running costs and reducing dependency on funding from overseas.
