The Gospel of Salvation
How do you get the most out of life when life isn’t going how you planned, or when you can’t clearly identify the issues you are facing, or when you tend to sabotage your own best efforts? How can humanity solve its problems when humanity often is the problem? You need an intervention from outside. You need someone to create a change that will rescue you from your circumstances and from yourself. That, on a cosmic scale, is what the Gospel of Salvation is about.
In the letter of Romans, Paul offers a sweeping view of salvation history from Adam to Jesus, from the ancient people of Israel to time of the Roman Empire in which he lived. From the depths of humanity's problems Paul ascends to the peaks of praise, with the great assurance that God is for us and nothing can separate us from the love of God. Humanity’s problem may be great, but God is greater and offers us a solution, not just for the present day, but for eternity (resuming September 2022) |
