is there more to life?

Alpha

A Greyfriars Alpha Course is running from 25 September to 4 December.

The Alpha course is a ten-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the christian faith in your life today. It is a practical introduction to the basics of christianity centred around a meal, a talk and a small-group discussion. It particularly caters for:
- people inquiring about spiritual meaning
- people seeking a faith with meaning for the future
- those wanting to investigate christianity
- newcomers to church and/or christianity
- those who want to refresh their faith

To register, or if you are just interested in learning more, contact the church office or email alpha@greyfriars.org.nz

Greyfriars Sunday Children's Programme

All children are welcome even if they are only able to attend intermittently or can only join part way through. Participation is not restricted to church members but is provided as a community service.

Come along and check us out!

Children normally would join the morning service with their families at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning, before breaking out after family learning time at about 10am. Programmes usually finish at about 11am with a morning tea provided in the church hall.

Sparklers (Toddlers/Pre-school) and All Stars (Primary Year 1-2)

Maxine Smith-Pilling runs the programme for toddlers, pre-schoolers, and year 1-2 primary age children, with assistants Mary Castles, Mae Thomson, Samantha Eaton, Natasha Thompson, and Lisa Campbell. The aim is to introduce children to a relationship with God in an age-appropriate way through bible stories, crafts, singing, and activities. Some parts of the programme are combined, while others are split by age.

Lazer Lights

For 7-10 year olds, Lazer Lights aims to introduce them to a loving and fun relationship to God and to build a foundation of knowledge that will support them for the rest of their lives. We use a stimulating mix of video, games, craft, and the ever-popular bible quizzes. For more details, contact the church office 630 2466

JBC

The JBC (Junior Bible Class) group is for intermediate age children (years 7-8) and runs at the same time as the other Sunday School classes at Greyfriars. JBC is currently being run by Fynn Maguire.
